WHEN: 28-29 JANUARY 2023

Eramboo -> 304 McCarrs Creek Rd Terrey Hills

a multi-modal exhibition presented by our international artist in residence from Brazil, EUGENIA MARIA FRANCA.

The exhibition and performance explored the difficult subject of violence against women.

Eugenia presented paintings, video and performance that discussed the troubling reality of this sensitive world-wide issue.

Eugenia’s performance was beautifully executed using the aggressive stamping of the QR code all over her body as a metaphor for violence against women ..these stamps were reminiscent of bruises or worse… an evocative performance accompanied by a soundtrack of women sharing their experiences.

Around the walls of the gallery were delicately painted images of women who were victims of violence.. each one had a QR code which took you to their story..
