Ekphrasis is a genre of poetry that explores works of art – usually paintings, drawings, photographs, or sculptures.
For this workshop we will look at ekphrastic writing that seeks to interpret or ‘get inside’ its visual subject – similar to the visual effect of haiku poetry.
Workshop participants are invited to respond to one or more art forms of their choice either from a personal collection or a selected favourite.
