Residency Artist Award Program
In 2009 Eramboo launched a “studio artist” program. The artists are part of the annual residency program enabling artists to create a body of work in the calm and beautiful bushland surrounds of the Kur-ringai National Park.
Eramboo can facilitate for a maximum of eight artists in resident from diverse backgrounds, working from the studios at Eramboo. These artists range in media from painting, sculpture, dance & performance as well as multi media with range in ages from 20 to 70 years of age.
The commitment of these artists reflects Eramboo's importance for local artists. This is also in line with the broader strategic plan for the organisation and expansion of physical facilities to enable artists the space and contemporary facilities to develop their practice professionally.
Our current Artist in Residency Award:
Eramboo Artist in Residence Program 2017
Northern Beaches Council and Eramboo Artist's Environment are offering a three month artist in residence program from March through May 2017. Geared towards a mid-career artist, the program offers the applicant free non-residential studios space and the unique opportunity to develop his or her work in the supportive environment of Eramboo in Terrey Hills. During his or her stay, the artist will be able to tap into the professional development support and networks provided at Eramboo. At the close of the residency the artist will present his or her creative work in a public space, such as a town or village centre or prominent location.
Eramboo’s Artistic Director, Susan Milne, maintains this residency program is a career accelerator for talented local artists as it provides them with space to create work, opportunities to connect with other artists and engage in critical discourse.
